I’m working in central Vietnam this week. There are lots of perks of working on photography assignments in Vietnam. Its a pretty photogenic place, with amazing depth and colour and quirky details. If you can avoid some of the more obvious cliches, you can create some interesting images there.
But, if I’m honest, the thing I’m usually most excited about when I board a plane for Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City or Danang, is the street food waiting for me there.
Someone recently sent me this amazing Google map guide of recommended street food in Hanoi. I lived there for 10 years, and only cracked the surface of the street good scene. It is big, diverse and very, very good.
Also worth noting is the Hanoi Street Food tours run by Mark Lowerson, which is doing a great job of introducing the city’s popular local curbside cuisine to tourists.
